Summer Camp 2011!
We offer two types of camp options at Sunset Valley Farm:
Summer Camp at Sunset Valley Farm: A riding camp dedicated to students who want to learn about horses and horseback riding. Each camper will have a full hour of riding instruction each day. The campers will also learn the basics of horse anatomy, caring for a horse, proper grooming/tacking and one craft project will be incorporated during the day. This is a half day camp for ages 6 through 15 years of age. Extended day 7:30am - 5:pm is available at additional charge. All beverages and snacks included in the price. Child must bring his/her own lunch.
Programs for advanced riders are also available. Contact: maria@sunsetvalleyfarms.com or call Maria 484-798-8365.
Summer Camp at Paradise Farm: Sunset Valley Farm and Paradise Farm are in partnership to provide a chance for children to learn about the outdoors. Paradise Farm,a 600 acre farm located just a mile down the road, runs a full day camp for children during the summer months. Each child chooses an afternoon elective; one of the electives is horseback riding. Paradise Farm will transport your child to our farm for riding lessons. The lessons run from 2-3:45, and your child will visit our farm 3 days a week per session.

SUMMER CAMP AT Sunset Valley Farm 2011
What makes Sunset Valley Farm riding camp different?
Comprehensive Horse Education:
Sunset Valley Farm's summer riding program will give your child an exciting and educational experience. The program includes general learning about horses, horse care, safety and tack (horse riding equipment). Your child will also be exposed to the various types of riding including, English, Hunter/Jumper.
Small Groups = Personalized attention and more riding time
We limit each session to 5 children so they get personalized riding instruction. When possible, each child will have their own pony for the week (depends on child's riding ability)
Each child will be grouped according to age and ability for his/her daily riding lesson given by qualified instructors.
Fun Extra-Cirricular Activities:
A healthy snack will be given daily followed by a funfilled acitivity which includes games, crafts, horse mane braiding, making horse treats or painting the ponies! Campers also play/swim in our creek while the horses in the pasture watch them.
Flexible Time Schedule:
Camp runs from 9 a.m. to 1p.m. Monday through Friday (before and aftercare is available for an additional fee). Wear comfortable clothes, including long pants and shoes (not flip flops), pack a lunch, and bring a bathing suit/towel, a pair of shorts and those flip flops for non-riding activities. You'll also need sunscreen, a helmet (a bike helmet will do) and riding boots (or any boot with a heel). Kids are allowed to play/swim in our creek each day.
Age groups include: 6-8 years, 9-11 years, 12-15 years, beginners, and intermediate riders If your child is an advanced rider, we have special programs designed specifically for him/her. Please inquire.
