| Riding Instruction Program |
Riding Lesson Program Sunset Valley Farm offers lessons in English riding (equitation, hunter/jumper) and Western riding (basic riding skills and trail riding). Megan Antonious and Apryl Vogt are two experienced and certified riding instructors who work as a team to provide lessons to equestrian students. Other trainers are not permitted to teach on our property. Individual Lessons Lessons will include proper grooming and tacking up the horse before and after the ride. Students will be encouraged to tack up their own horse (age appropriate), properly clean and put the tack away. Saddle checks will be done by the instructor. ½ hour Private: 45.00 1 Hour Private: 60.00 4 or 8 Lesson Package This package is designed for all students who wish to enjoy the attention of private lessons, socialization and learning opportunities of group lessons and preparation for upcoming shows. Although all children are invited to participate in area horse shows, this is not a requirement. Participation in horse shows will be up to the discretion of the instructors. Beginner Package: Combination of ½ hour private lessons, 45 minute group and sessions end with informal horse show at Sunset Valley Farm. Generally, there will be 2 private lessons and 4 group lessons and one show. The instructor may suggest the student more private lessons until he/she is ready to join a group. Cost: 160.00/4 lessons, 320.00/8 lessons
Intermediate/Advanced:
Combination of 1 hour private lessons, 1 hr. 15 minute group lesson.
The rider has a choice of private (60 minutes) or group lessons (1hr. 15 minutes) Cost: 240.00/4 lessons, 480.00/8 lessons
Each student will receive a written progress report at the end of each 7 week session to document skills, lesson plans, accomplishments, goals and improvement opportunities.
